How a Nick order works

· Updated

The path from a search to a registered name: availability, a server-side price, payment, and the registrar call that actually creates the domain.

Nick is a short store. You search a name, see which extensions are free, pay in Taka, and the paid name is sent to the registrar. Nothing in the browser is trusted for the price or the availability.

Search

The home page checks Bangladesh extensions first, then the international list. A taken name stays marked taken. A premium keyword on an international extension is not sold at the standard price. A reserved name cannot be added.

Order

Add the name to the cart and enter the registrant name, email, phone, and address once. Checkout does not ask for a registrar password. Nick creates that account itself and never shows the password. You can check out up to ten names at a time. The summary shows the first-year price and, when known, the later yearly renewal. Checkout asks the server for a fresh price. If the name was taken between search and payment, you are not charged for a registration that did not happen.

Pay and register

With EPS configured, you pay by bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, or card. Nick confirms the payment with EPS before it registers anything. International names go to the LogicBoxes reseller API. .bd names do not. They are filed through the Bangladesh path and still need BTCL to activate them.

A confirmed payment is not the same as a live domain. International names are registered when the registrar accepts the order. A .bd name still needs BTCL to activate it after an NID or trade license is filed. The order page explains which of those stages you are in. That link expires 90 days after the order is placed. If registration fails after a confirmed payment, the order is marked that way and support follows up at the email on the order.
