Nick

Register a .bd domain

Nick sells a second-level .bd name for BDT 2,500 a year. The registry still has to activate it.

A .bd name is the short Bangladesh country-code domain, such as dhakabakery.bd. Nick lists it before .com. The price on this page is the customer price, taken from the same yearly list the cart uses.

What you do

  1. Search the label on the home page. Available means the lookup reported it free. Unknown is not added to the cart.
  2. Add it and enter the registrant contact once. There is no registrar-password field.
  3. Pay in Taka when EPS is the gateway. A failed payment registers nothing.
  4. Wait for BTCL. Have the NID or trade license ready. The order page shows the stage you are in, and that link expires after 90 days.

Other Bangladesh extensions have their own prices. The price list is the place to compare them. Renewal of a name Nick already registered is requested by email, not from a button on this page.

Questions

How much does a .bd domain cost on Nick?

BDT 2,500 for one year. Two, three, five, and ten years are that yearly price multiplied by the number of years. The later renewal uses the list price on the renewal date, which can change.

Does paying Nick register the .bd name immediately?

No. Payment confirms the order. Alpha Net files the name toward BTCL. The name is not live until BTCL activates it, which requires an NID or a trade license.

Do I send a registrar password?

No. Checkout asks for the registrant name, email, phone, and address. Nick creates the registrar account and does not show that password.

Who is the registry?

BTCL is the .bd registry. Nick is a storefront. Alpha Net is the registrar partner that files Bangladesh names.
