Nick, BTCL, and Alpha Net
Nick, the registry, and the registrar partner are three different parties. The public pages below were read on 19 October 2026.
| Party | Role | Price Nick will stand behind |
|---|---|---|
| Nick | Storefront for the customer | .bd BDT 2,500 a year. .com.bd BDT 1,100 a year. |
| BTCL | .bd registry. Activates the name. | Homepage on 19 October 2026 said second-level .bd starts from Tk. 1,280 and third-level from Tk. 700. Renewal and VAT were not on that page. |
| Alpha Net | Registrar partner. Named on BTCL's partner list that day. | Reseller starter package: five .com names at ৳1,690 each. Not a .bd retail price. |
BTCL also named other reseller partners on that page, including Limda Host, EyHost, Amber IT, REIT, Jielian Technologies, and GetYourBD. Nick is not those companies. Their prices were not collected for this page.

Questions
Is Nick cheaper than BTCL?
No claim of that kind is made here. On 19 October 2026 the BTCL domain homepage said a second-level .bd starts from Tk. 1,280 and a third-level name starts from Tk. 700. Nick's customer price is BDT 2,500 for .bd and BDT 1,100 for .com.bd. Those are different offers. Confirm the registry figure on domain.btcl.gov.bd before you compare.
Does Nick replace BTCL?
No. BTCL remains the registry. A .bd name Nick sells is still activated by BTCL.
Is the Alpha Net 1,690 Taka figure Nick's price?
No. On 19 October 2026 Alpha Net's domain reseller page showed a starter package of five .com names at ৳1,690 per domain (৳8,450 for the package per year). That is a reseller package for .com, not Nick's .bd price.
